Apparently, the allegations about the death of some superhero characters in Avengers: Infinity War did not get to the Doctor Strange character. The reason, recently the first movie screenwriter, C. Robert Cargill, has revealed the idea he was about to ask Marvel Studios for Doctor Strange 2.
Submitted Movie Web, C. Robert Cargill expressed his plans for Doctor Strange 2 in a question and answer session after screening the movie in Austin, Texas. During that time, Cargill spoke little about what might happen in Doctor Strange 2.
"Nightmare will be the villain," said Cargill implying on one of the great enemies of Stephen Strange in the Marvel comic story world.
According to Cargill, the commitment to bring Nightmare to Doctor Strange 2 has been discussed with director Scott Derrickson. However, that's when they have the opportunity to create a sequel.
Still Not Announced
Nightmare itself in the original comic is described as the demon of the ruler Dimensions of Dreams. It has the ability to draw strength from the subconscious mind of a being.
As is known, until this moment Marvel still has not announced the plan of the release of Doctor Strange 2. Some time ago, the cast of Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch was still not getting any information from Marvel Studios about the sequel to the superhero movie.
